(More customer reviews)I was looking to compliment by Samsung 3D plasma, 3D BD player and Polk audio bar with this receiver. What I received (the first time) was a receiver that wouldn't power on. Ok, it happens, so I send it back and request a replacement. The next receiver powers on fine, so I hook everything up (PS3, Xbox 360, cable box) and the HDMI inputs for "SAT" and "TV" do not work at all. The PS3 and Xbox 360 work just fine so I figure it's gotta be my cable box or a bad HDMI cable. I replaced the cable, checked all my connections and... nothing.
So I start to troubleshoot and decide to plug the PS3 into the "SAT" and "TV" HDMI inputs... nothing. My second malfunctioning receiver is being sent back as I type this.
Needless to say I'm very disappointed with this product. Sure, it was not expensive and you get what you pay for but this thing felt cheap from the word "go". It just seems to have a flimsy feel to it and it makes an annoying noise when you turn the volume up (which you have to do one push at a time unless you use the remote). There are no knobs to turn to tune or control the volume -- very frustrating.
This is my sixth receiver and I just wanted something simple for a spare bedroom setup. I'll stick to my Yamaha's and Onkyno's in the future.
PS - Amazon was great with respect to returns and shipping out another unit. This review doesn't reflect on them at all.
