Unfortunately, the range isn't that great (it would be better with BT class 1) and sometimes, when I loose the connection once in a while, it reconnects to another Bluetooth audio device (my neighbors TV - if he knew :) ).
The documentation is really bad. Here are some instructions, that can't be found inside the manual:
1) If it is automatically connected to another (undesired) device, press the button for about 2 seconds to drop the connection so that it's open again for being connected to your device.
2) To pair it with your PC, you need a pairing PIN, it is: 0000

GE 99004 Bluetooth Home Stereo Transmitter and Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)What a wonderful toy! Any audio you can listen to on your A2DP bluetooth-enabled computer can be easily streamed to your home stereo system.
I bought this particular Bluetooth module because:
a. it can act as either a transmitter or a receiver by flipping a switch and
b. it has both front panel buttons and and IR remote, allowing the box to send AVRCP commands (pause/fwd/back/vol) back to the bluetooth transmitter.
I programmed my universal remote (Harmony) to replace the GE mini-remote.
Pros:
I use the box mainly to stream music from a Dell e1505 laptop to my home stereo and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. I've run it for several hours straight with no disconnect problems.
Cons:
This could be an issue with my laptop, but sometimes the GE Bluetooth box stays in "connected" mode even after the laptop is put in standby. The result is that I can't reconnect the laptop until I power-cycle the Bluetooth box (unplug/plug-in). I probably need to do a bluetooth disconnect before going into standby mode...
Also, the aforementioned AVRCP commands don't seem to work with iTunes, but they do work with Windows Media Player.

Bluetooth Stereo Gateway DC800 Bluetooth Adapter for Home Stereo Review

(More customer reviews)I was seeking a way to watch t.v. in my basement while running on the treadmill and lifting weights in the early morning hours. The T.V. had to be turned up way too loud so that I could hear it while on the treadmill. I started by purchasing an FM transmitter and using my arm-band fm "walkman" type of device. The reception was terrible unless I stood right next to the transmitter.
I bought the Motorola S9 stereo headset and the Motorola DC800 stereo adapter. These two paired easily and the sound is unbelievable. I can run on the treadmill and watch "loud" T.V. and there are no reception problems. I would highly recommend this set-up to anyone.
